although the user above me gave 3 sites these are not valid on youtube, myspace layouts will not work on youtube as it does not take HTML

to have a youtube background do the following:

you can get pictures from google images and then make an account on photobucket (gives you a proper code that makes all of your images work as backgrounds) and then do the following:

-sign up to http://www.photobucket.com

-go to google images

-find an image you would like to use as a background

-save it to your pictures

-upload it to photobucket

-copy the DIRECT LINK CODE

-go to youtube

-sign in

-go to your channel

-press edit channel

-press channel design

-go down to Advanced Design Customization

-copy the DIRECT LINK CODE from your photobucket image into the Background Image (URL) box

-press update channel

now you have a background :)
