Making my own website for myspace layouts and such....?

My mom is going to let me have my own website but im not really sure what i should get to host it or anything.

Does this sound like it would work for what i would be doing. I would be making layouts and things for myspace. Is this enough bandwith and stuff? I would like to to be (someday) something like whateverlife.com

You know just to try it out and untill you have it running good you can get a free one like mine works good I like it and you can do everyhting that you can on a paid one
